2030 Movement: Inclusive Design For a Digital World

Tue, Sep 15 (12:00pm - 1:00pm)

Description

This event is part of The 2030 Movement, a free week-long festival of learning. Head to The2030Movement.com to see the full schedule.

In the ever-changing landscape of technology, we are all empowered to become designers or have a say in the type of designs we desire. Now more than ever, modern designers are responsible for creating worlds of experiences, environments, services, and systems that impact millions of people – with lasting impacts. One of which is to design with inclusivity in mind.

Inclusive design is a way of thinking, a way of creating digital products and experiences that enable a wide range of diverse people to access them. In the sophisticated world of technology where accessibility is critical to one’s experience, there is more to be done to elevate its power.

Join our panel as we discuss what else can we do with user experience & design to broaden technology’s reach and the design solutions to be incorporated into our services and products to make them more consciously inclusive. We’ll explore the major types of disabilities: mobility, vision, hearing, cognition, and how that affects relationships and experiences with tech. Come around and learn the best practices to ensure a complete tech experience for more people and at the same time, better serve the existing market to drive sales and raise brand thoughtfulness.

Our Panelists:

  • Dr. Jeffrey Koh, Partner & Director of Strategic Ventures, Chemistry
  • FengYi Yu, UX Researcher, Google
  • Keith Oh, Head of Product Design, Carousell
